Life's a game

Breaking down Sales Funnels, Business, and Life

We made it…

The end…

Just kidding, but really. We made it back to the mountains in Colorado and DAMN IT FEELS GOOD!

It feels like it’s been way longer than 6 months, but then again truthfully our journey started 1 year ago.

We moved to Vail, CO for 1 month to open a bar.

Then we moved to Salt Lake City, UT Jan 1st. Completely homeless we managed to land an apartment 3 or 4 days after getting there.

We already knew we wanted to hit South America at this point, but didn’t have a plan.

We bought our tickets in April, sold pretty much everything including my car and left in June on a one-way ticket.

We just landed in our spot here in Breck, and had some friends we had met over Instagram while traveling that live here.

We met up with them, and they invited us to be on a float in the parade for Ullr fest (Ullr’s the god of snow, you pray to him for good snow)

It was a hell of a welcome to town, and crazy to meet friends in person.

It’s hard to meet business minded people, especially in a ski town. So it’s really nice to have a connection with like minded people that also wanna ski.

Anyway the adventure’s felt like it’s lasted forever, and now it’s time to build.

Sometimes it feels like my life’s a movie.

Life’s a game

Life’s short, you might as well make it interesting.

Now that we’re settled down into a place, and most of the nomadic desires are gone (for now…) it’s time to see what we can do.

We’re setting goals and creating a road map for how to get there.

And as we build we’ll be able to see everything coming together.

For example I got a car on Friday, which was the second step in recreating our lives.

The first was finding a place to live.

The next big one will be when we upgrade our apartment.

It keeps life fun this way.

There’s so many distractions in the world, and it’s fun to let go and try new stuff, enjoy life, and soak it up.

But it’s also fun to have a goal to work towards, and work towards it everyday, knowing that what you’re doing is taking you a step closer.

It’s hard to achieve that goal a lot of times because there’s more distractions than ever, and everyone wants to steal your attention this day in age.

I think Steve Jobs said “Focus isn’t saying yes to 1 thing, it’s saying no to 99 things”.

So my discipline comes in here, saying no to skiing everyday or taking short days to work on myself, and business.

First world problems…

What I’m working on.

What I’ve been focused on while traveling is building Sales Funnels.

A Sales Funnel is how a business owner is finding, converting, qualifying, closing leads, and scalability factors or leverage within the business.

I mainly aim this to work with online coaches selling high ticket items, no I don’t have an exact niche for online coaches.

It’s all the tech involved, ads, website, calendar, customer relationship management (crm), payment portals, analytics.

As well as the psychology that goes into creating the Sales Funnel, as after all, it can be as pretty as you want it to be but in the end psychology’s the number 1 driving factor behind it.

In addition we set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This is a road map for reverse engineering your goals and creating a clear path to achieving them.

I have a quick free training on them here: https://eliotkoe.com/free-training/

I’m working on a rebranding for myself, repositioning myself & offer, and possible switch in niche.

I enjoy working with online coaches, but would like to niche down further within them.

But on the flip side, it’d be fun to work local in the ski town with businesses.

I’ve been considering repositioning to Realtors and Property Managers (because I also want to learn more about real estate and investing).

Or Brick N Mortar businesses.

I’m working with a friend on their roofing business, the sales and client acquisition side of things, which I considered niching into because I see a market gap with online marketing for them.

But quite honestly, I think roofers might be a pain in the ass to work with.

I’m conducting a lot of market research this week and will be starting the rebrand and reposition.

Now some people say “You’re the niche”, but that still leaves it so vague.

On that note I am still honing in on that, essentially I’ve aimed to attract people and work with people who are like me in the sense that they love life, love the outdoors and adrenaline sports, and love pushing themselves.

Which I work with some people like that, and they’re f**king awesome because we’re in alignment, and they’re down to be doers and get the work done.

At the end of the day, you can outwork the competition, and that’s what you have to do when starting out.

I’ve been in this game for over a year and I still feel like a Bambi, yet at the same time if I look back to where I was when I started, or a year ago even, I’ve undergone massive change and mindset shifts.

Take action.

If you’re running a business and thinking about using a Sales Funnel here’s a quick rundown of how to start.

It looks like this:

Traffic > Lead Magnet > Sales Page > Calendar Embed OR Payment Page > Thank You Page

(In the background you’re automatically sending an email campaign when you collect their information in the Lead Magnet to warm them up, keep you top of mind, and send them to your product)

You’re Lead Magnets and free give away or a super cheap offer.

If it’s free you give it in exchange for their name and email address, maybe phone number also.

You want it to be really good, this gives your future client a taste of how amazing it would be to work with you.

Enjoy your week.

Remember there’s no correct path for you, but you create the path as you walk.

And when you get to the end, others will be trying to follow your path.

So stop and smell the roses sometimes.

Enjoy the adventure along the way.

Cheers,

Me

P.s. I’ve had a handful of people reach out to me on Instagram about how to travel and/or work online, I’m thinking about putting together a mini course on ways to do this and skills that you can focus on.

Reply to this email with the words “Fasho” if it’s something you’d be interested in or you think it’d be a good idea.
