Get To Live
A look into the past

Welcome, here’s a brief summary of the past
I finally did it,
I learned to ski.
I started a blog.
I started surfing.
I started learning Spanish.
I dropped into a bowl on a skateboard.
I left the states on a one-way ticket to see the world.
At 27, I’m here to tell you it’s never too late.
Build your curiosity about things you’ve been interested in, then get out there and try them out.
What got me here?
Leaving Florida at 22.
Driving across the country to Seattle, Washington.
That is how the adventure began.
Following the roadtrip of a lifetime.
I lived, worked, and played at:
Bozeman, MT
Yellowstone, National Park (Ol’ Faithful)
Steamboat Springs, CO
Fort Collins, CO
Winter Park, CO (I’m from Winter Park, FL)
Vail, CO
Salt Lake City, UT
During these times I got to:
Be homeless (twice?)
Meet a lot of characters…
Be a bartender in amazing places
Be a Ski and snowboard instructor
Learn to be a whitewater raft guide
Throughout these travels I’ve met a lot of people.
Grown close with a lot of people.
And said goodbye to a lot of friends.
Now, I’ve started a new journey on a one-way ticket to South America.
Navigating working online as a freelancer, while exploring this part of the world.
I’ve always had uncanny blind faith in myself.
Just go for it, and I’ll make everything else happen.
I’ve adapted a ‘Get To’ attitude from the book “Get To Be Happy” by Ted Larkins.
I received it as a Christmas gift from my mom, I highly suggest you check it out if you’re keen on an optimistic view for life.
This was a quick backstory on the past, I’ll sprinkle certain lessons from the past throughout my journal, but we’ll be focused on the present.
Until next time, trust your gut.
Cheers,
Eliot Koerner
