Embracing Main Character Energy Leads To Great Stories...
♾️ Main Character Energy ♾️
I’ve got an explosive imagination.
Always have, always will…
Call it weird, but life can be a bit boring without it.
It’s one of the greatest tools we’ve been given, our minds are powerful and using your imagination can change your reality.
So Main Character energy is something I think about a lot.
You know how it looks, when someones living there life, chasing after their dreams yet staying present, not concerned with what the worlds doing around them.
I think about this a lot in the concept of movies or books, specially action & adventure category…
You’ve always got the renowned “Hero’s Journey”
With character archetypes, the protagonist, antagonist, the semi main characters, and the ones who help out along the way.
But every journey involves the protagonist taking a risk.
A leap into the unknown.
Leaving the comfort of familiarity behind to embark on an adventure typically with a goal, destination, or dream in mind.
Not always, but typically the universe shines through and picks them up in the journey…
Not everyone makes it, but they go out on a whim and trust that it’ll work out a lot of times without a plan.
Or if they have a plan… It gets disrupted in the middle and they have to change directions.
But it’s these road blocks and hold ups that turn it, whatever “It” may be, into an adventure.
I love to pay attention to the main character embarking on the journey in these tales.
To really pay attention to what calls to them, or why they leave to embark on the journey is so important, just knowing that they’re taking a leap into the unknown.
We’re all primal creatures, and it’s still very recent that we have the safety of civilization.
So now we’re creating threats in our head, making problems when we’re seemingly safe.
Our minds are wired this way to always be aware of danger, tigers, bears, other tribes, storms.
Now that we’ve stepped into the comfort of modern day life, four walls and a roof, it’s only natural that our minds will create threats and turn them into prominent ideas.
So remember, when you’re really stressed about something.
Sit and think for 5 or 10 minutes.
What’s the worst case scenario?
Is my life threatened?
Would a main character I respect, take this sort of risk in their adventure?
After all, we’re all the Main Characters of our lives.
We’re all on our own journeys, with different destinations in mind.
Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
Being the Main Character changes as you grow, as you’re a parent being the best mother/father there can be is such a strong character plot.
But this stage of life will change eventually, and you’ll grow into the next leg of the journey…
Much wiser…
If you’re story is being an amazing role model then let that Main Character energy shine through, you’ll inspire the ones you’re a role model to.
Having this little monologue in your head can make it exciting, bring passion into your everyday life & tasks…
The second you leave your house, you never know what could happen, how your life could change forever.
So live passionately, as if you’re the main character because you never know who’s watching.
It’s contagious, and the world needs more of it.

The Big Lime.
Our Spanish is still pretty rough.
But the small talk in the Elevator is helping more then most parts of our journey.
Being in a place where no one speaks your language..
It can be frustrating, but humbling.
Not being able to communicate basic things sometimes, is such a struggle.
(and an adventure 😉)
But it teaches you to be resourceful, and try to step outside of your comfort zone, shoot for the opportunity when you can, and hope you pronounced it right (and they speak slowly back…)
Lima still holds that special place.
They have such good food, loads of fruit, and a really good waffle spot around the corner…
Everyone in Peru has been really nice and helpful.
Again, I’m not surprised as it’s the home of PachaMama.
Nature has it’s own rights in this country.

A-Team
Eight of us sat there.
On Zoom.
We finally launched…
This adventures been going hand in hand with our journey through South America, it’s looked something like.
Hop on an 8-18 hour bus, land in a new spot, find wifi, hop on a meeting, go explore… repeat.
It’s been fun though, I joined this startup when we were back in Ecuador to help them build repeatable business systems for online work.
Katie came on about a month or 2 later.
It’s been a big learning experience with ups & downs, but it’s good to see our first product launch, it’s been so long it seems a little surreal still…
The product?
It’s a personal brand linked to a coaching program that we’ve been creating with a nice women in her mid 50’s focused on helping women coming out of motherhood rediscover themselves and interests…
Her Instagram was under 200 followers when we got started with her, and now it’s at about 8.8k and growing.
But the best part, is that theirs tons of women that are getting help through her, there isn’t a ton of support online from what we’ve heard, and there’s a lot of ladies in need of help in this area..!
This has been it’s own adventure alongside the main road.

Routine
Yes… routine while traveling
We’re posted up in Lima, and I was getting a little all over the place in my routine.
(as in I was obsessing over just working while we’re here)
Kate made me a schedule…
It a lotted for us to get up at 5am and start the day with a run & workout.
And then get a lot of work in…
But the key in it?
A big fat break in the middle of the day 12:30 - 2:30.
For lunch, and a walk by the sea.
Most of the locals hangout cliffside, overlooking the ocean.
All day you find families, kids, or adults having picnics out there and just enjoying the weather.
I got a pretty nice sunburn the other day out there…
It’s amazing what it does for you, having that break outside is so nice.
(we typically grab an iced coffee on the way down)
Allowing that time to just be, and just be outside feels so good.
It’s my favorite part of the day honestly.
Back to the morning routine…
Starting the day with a run has been amazing.
It’s cool, humid, and busy in Lima at that time.
We run cliffside along the ocean, and there’s at least a hundred other people out running during the time we’re out there.
Starting the day with endorphins sets it up for a good day…!

The Ideal Routine, But Life Happens…
Amazonia
We plan for the Amazon next…
We’re in Lima until November 2nd, but I’m still chasing that dream I had…
We’re meeting up with a local today, she’s building a community on The Amazon and is from Amazonia…
We’re gonna get clarity from her on where to go.
We’re aiming to get off the beaten path, and just be with the jungle for a bit.
I’m extremely excited about it and feel called to be there.
After our week and a half or so there, we’ll head back to Florida for about a month.
I’d say it won’t change much from the Amazon…
Running through the streets in the big city of Lima you can still feel the Amazon presence.
There’s loads of trees and parks spread throughout the city.
Birds on the streets, certain roads will feel like you’d imagine the Amazon to feel, just completely alive with them chirping and singing.
There’s 2 things it’s missing that would complete the feel.
If they had wild Monkeys & Iguanas it’d be next level…
Overall, don’t forget to listen to your dreams.
It’s how your subconscious speaks to you.

Be a Maverick
Keep these thoughts close and never put yourself on the back burner.
This is your life, your story unfolding, don’t forget to treat it that way.
Keep life exciting and don’t be scared to step out of your comfort zone…
Cheers,
Me
P.s. my best friend of over 20 years got engaged yesterday and I’m beyond excited…
