Back To Colorado

A Lesson from "digital nomading"

Rocky Mount High

It was a bumpy landing on Saturday afternoon.

Stepping through the doors of the jet the cold kissed my face, longs filled with mountain air, and my lips instantly went chapped.

We made it back to Colorado, with 20 inches of snow in the forecast for Sunday.

Just like that, back in the mountains, back in winter, back in ski season.

Like nothing had changed…

But a lot had, originally I didn’t think I’d even want to come back, I didn’t know if I’d stay abroad in one area, or continue traveling.

Would I love being a “digital nomad”?

Possibly, one day.

But, it turns out it’s hard to build something you’re passionate about while traveling.

It’s a sacrifice, when you combine a season of hustle mode and building with a season of traveling you end up sacrificing a little from both and stressing about it in the end.

I don’t want to put a little effort into few things, I want to go all in on something I’m passionate about, and then once that ideas built I can transition into a new area if I’d like.

And that was a lesson I needed to learn.

Now I’m back, and for the first time in years (maybe ever) I’m excited to be in one place.

To be able to build, and connect with the community.

I thought it would take longer for me to be ready, but it feels like this is a brand new adventure beginning, and I’m here for it.

Sometimes you just gotta get it out of your system.

Life Works Out

Originally we planned on staying in Florida for 6 weeks.

We would build our base up, work hard, and get ready to drive back to Colorado.

It didn’t work out.

Understandably, it’s a long time to stay with family.

However, I got to get very close with my niece and it was great to have the time with family I had.

During this time it also gave me closure that I don’t need to move back to Florida to be close to family.

And that’s alright.

So we looked to Colorado, now our best move was to get back out there.

Katie had a childhood friends parent selling their car, and gave me an amazing deal.

Which solved the issue that I sold my car right before we left.

Just before we left we found a 1 bedroom apartment in Breckenridge fully furnished.

2nd issue solved.

Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith, and the universe will catch you.

Gotta stay motivated with Co-Star

To The Future

We picked up two pairs of skis for Kate right when we landed back in Colorado.

Her ski sponsor Misfit Skis are based out of Denver, and it was an exciting gift to return to.

We’re not at our place yet, but we will be by tonight.

We stayed the weekend on the front range, and it’s still been a bit crazy to get work done.

That’s no excuse, but it’s why this is a day late.

This transition into the adventure of life is an exciting time.

I have big plans to come, and I’m exciting for this blog to grow with it.

Cheers,

Me
